This presentation will examine Ukraine&#8217;s recent history since its entry into the ESC in 2003, exploring how the contest has reflected the socio-political developments that have impacted the country, its citizens, and their cultural legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>About the speaker<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Barbara Barreiro Le\u00f3n, Lecturer in Film &amp; Visual Culture at the University of Aberdeen, specializes in how media shapes cultural identities, with a focus on the Eurovision Song Contest.
